Rediscovering the Love for the Big Mac® with Big Mac Hero

To help consumers rediscover their love for an iconic McDonald’s burger, we launched our very own video game for the Big Mac in a classic 8-bit style. Through hypertargeting Big Mac devotees and gamers with a custom 8-bit Snapchat filter and Snapcodes on McDonald’s cups, we zeroed in on a ready-made fanbase. We delivered custom-made retro cartridge packaging to some of the biggest influencers in the gaming world, helping us spread the love organically for the Big Mac and our classic game. We racked up some impressive high scores in the end: with 393,988 unique Snapcode scans, and the most played game in QSR cross-channel history.
